De Tjolomadoe

Horay!!!

Children were happy play in this museum. This museum beyond my expectation. De Tjolomadoe is one of must destination. My elder son learn about Indonesia history. In part of forced planting in Netherlands colonialism - cultuurstelsel,cultivation system. Netherlands via VOC forced Indonesian to planted cane for sugar. The Tjolomadoe is one of sugar factory. In 1800, Mangkunegaran (one of the royal family in Java) whose the factory owner. They processed cane till sugar as export commodities. All of the sugar were exported. We can learn about the processes through miniature factory, interactive animation and short movie. I

I am happy to my kids. because they can learn about history happily. You know, sometimes historical genre or somethings is make me boring. Alhamdulillah they understand about the history. This museum help me to teach to the kids.

This Museum is located in Colomadu, Sukoharjo near Solo. Entering fee Rp.  25000 each person.
